Closer Communities

** THIS CONTEST HAS ENDED **

Since the day we opened our door for business, Seaside has always been committed to supporting local charities in the communities we serve, while delivering exceptional value and service to our customers. We’ve always believed that spreading generosity to others brings our communities closer together. So in support of this belief, we are launching a contest to reward one winning random act of kindness with a $1000.00 donation to a registered charity of your choosing!

To enter, simply share a brief story of a local random act of kindness (either performed by yourself, or someone you know) to our Facebook page. It can be something that has already happened recently, or you can feel inspired by this contest to get out there and do something kind for someone today - then, be sure to let us know about it.

Just follow this link to our Facebook page and look for the post pinned to the top of the page (or just look for the big blue heart!). In the comment section below the main post, let us know your story. Please do not ‘reply’ to existing comments; keep your story at the ‘comment’ level.

Once all entries have been received by February 28th (the contest end date), the stories will be reviewed by our panel of judges who, after carefully considering each entry, will choose the most deserving, inspiring story. The winner will then be notified though Facebook, and be awarded the prize of naming the registered charity to receive the $1,000.00 donation. Essentially, the charity is the true winner of the contest! Remember, only one story will win the $1,000.00 prize, but each and every story is a winner, because when we spread kindness and generosity and inspire others to do the same - WE ALL WIN!

There is no limit on how many times you can enter; the more good will that we can spread to others, the better. If you don't have a story to share however, please feel free to “Like" - or “Love” - your favourites from within the comments. Let’s spread the word!

Our panel of judges will consist of Lynn McCarron from the United Way, Pam Leader from the Savoy Theatre, and Tyrone Levingstone from the Cape Breton Highlanders. Seaside is proud to sponsor each of these organizations, who give back regularly to the community themselves.
