NOVA SCOTIA is one of four Canadian Atlantic provinces and home to nearly 1 million people. With a mix of urban and rural populations, we are known for having a friendly and welcoming culture that is a fusion of the many cultural communities that call the province home. In particular, our rural neighbourhoods offer landscapes of beautiful scenery and small, quaint townships, each with their own distinct charm.
 
However, the remoteness of our rural communities can create challenges, and access to quality internet service is particularly essential for living, working and competing in a digital world. In January 2007, Seaside Wireless began providing broadband internet service to one such community, in a small 15km area from Tidnish to Port Howe, Cumberland County.  Since then, we’d expanded our services and taken on responsibility for providing high speed internet in 10 northern counties - Cumberland, Antigonish, Cape Breton, Colchester, Guysborough, Halifax, Inverness, Pictou, Richmond, and Victoria - in total, an area of more than 32,000 km².
